Richard was inspired to write THIS STRANGE PARADISE by the musicals of the peak of Broadway’s Golden Age that included such timeless works as WEST SIDE STORY, MY FAIR LADY, OLIVER!, GUYS AND DOLLS, DAMN YANKKES and others. Richard is a playwright, entrepreneur, TV commentator, consultant, and writer whose works have appeared in major national publications. Richard also was one of the original creative team of executives at Participant Productions where the movies he helped develop were collectively nominated for 11 Academy Awards in every major category of production, writing, and performance. Richard also conceived the basis of Participant’s social action marketing model, which was used for, among other films, the Academy Award-winning AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH.
