Richard Klagsbrun was inspired to write THIS STRANGE PARADISE by the musicals from the peak of Broadway’s Golden Age, which include timeless works like WEST SIDE STORY, MY FAIR LADY, OLIVER!, GUYS AND DOLLS, and DAMN YANKS. As a playwright, entrepreneur, TV commentator, consultant, and writer, Richard's works have appeared in major national publications. He was also part of the original creative team at Participant Productions, where the movies he helped develop earned 11 Academy Award nominations across all major categories of production, writing, and performance. Additionally, Richard conceived the foundation of Participant’s social action marketing model, which was successfully used for films such as the Academy Award-winning AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, further showcasing his impact on the New Stage Musical landscape.
